Yes these are images from One small Seed…. It was a full length article which has recently been posted on their website and magazine where by they document the life of Mark “Gonz” Gonzales who was a inspiration and member of the Adidas skateboarding family for 15 years.
Mark ‘Gonz’ Gonzales has been a member of the adidas Skateboarding family for 15 years. Inspiring, developing and nurturing the skateboarding program, Gonz single-handedly revolutionized the world of street skating in awesomely unalterable ways over the past 15 years. To honour his inspirational lifestyle adidas Skateboarding and AREA3 in Joburg are displaying the art of six photographers from 6 July to 6 August 2013 who have documented Gonz in various lights. After he was given the title ‘Most influential skateboarder of all-time’ by Transworld SKATEboarding magazine, we at one small seed couldn’t pass up the opportunity to give Gonz a metaphorical salute for just being… well, himself!
This therefore was targeting the youth of the skater and skate culture .
One small seed looks for places they can entertain and interest the youth and create interest among the people, they try mash up the cultures and allow other people to be involved and understand the other cultures better.
One Small seed got people to go out and photograph Gonzales for this magazine .The layout for the article was that of the skate culture and also linking in still very closely with the Adidas brand.
So this therefore explains how their style yet still remains trendy and up to date but yet still fitting in with the articles brand.
We found this strange rail somewhere in Whittier. We had a picture of it, and it looked nothing liked we had imagined it to. As soon as we pulled up, the first thing I noticed was this ridiculous death drop aside the rail. Ducky however paid it no mind. He hopped on the rail three times for the photo. Three more times than I’d ever in my lifetime hahaha.
